MyEO Family Day: A Chocolate Adventure

A Sunday at Maison Marou, and the start of a monthly tradition

MyEO Family Day, A Chocolate Adventure, turned a member perk into a family afternoon, kids included.

22 people turned out at Maison Marou's Thảo Điền flagship this past Sunday, more than the RSVP list promised. No agenda, no rush, just families spending a Sunday afternoon together.

Three things from the afternoon
  • Where the chocolate actually comes from, mapped out bean by bean. Marou walked the room through Vietnam's own cacao origins before anyone touched a tasting spoon.
  • A corner that was actually for the kids. Low tables covered in crafts and toy cars, free rein to wander back to the tasting whenever they felt like it.
  • A chocolate bar with your own face on it. Every attendee took one home, MyEO mark and all, and for a few minutes the whole room stood in a circle holding theirs up.

Hanh Tran, EO Vietnam's MyEO Chair, who put this event together, announced Family Day is going monthly from here, each one built around its own theme. Next up: Trung Thu, and the history of the lanterns.
